Tour Description

Eight-day tour, departing and returning to Palermo. Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the nature and history of Sicily, to admire but also to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Tyrrhenian and Mediterranean seas in Favignana. You will travel along coastal and inland roads, which will lead you between white beaches and sites of exceptional archaeological interest, passing through small, very characteristic villages, rich in traditions and millenary cultures.

The Route

Day 1 - from Castellamare del Golfo to Scopello

Individual arrival at Palermo airport. Private transfer from Palermo to Castellamare del Golfo. Delivery of bicycles and informative material. Ride from Castellamare del Golfo to Scopello, small village overlooking a blue sea from which emerge two iconic stacks. Possibility to visit the “Tonnara” (old Tuna fishery) and to make a walk to the wonderful Zingaro Reserve. Overnight stay in Scopello. (Resort Baglio di Scopello hotel).

Day 2 - from Scopello to San Vito Lo Capo

Departure from Scopello to get to S.Vito lo Capo. This stage alternates the coast with the hinterland, to give you the chance of enjoy breathtaking views.
Arrive at San Vito lo Capo, a jewel of beautiful wide and white beach and crystal clear sea set between the majestic Monte Monaco and the rocky wall of the Egitarso plateau. Overnight stay in S. Vito lo Capo. (Ai Dammusi b&b)

Day 3 - from San Vito lo Capo to Trapani

Departure from San Vito lo Capo and begin of a route that will take you by the coast, to the bays of Cala Rossa and Cala Mancina. Continue in the plain of Erice until you arrive in Trapani, city located on a strip of land washed by the Mediterranean Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Overnight stay in Trapani (Crystal Hotel or Hotel Tiziano)

Day 4 - from Trapani to Favignana

Departure at 7.30 from the port of Trapani to reach the island of Favignana.

Free day to explore the largest island of the Egadi archipelago. You can choose among archaeological finds, historical buildings and the beautiful coasts. The island offers beaches with fine golden sand, picturesque coves of sand and pebbles and coves perfect to snorkel in the beautiful seabeds. Overnight stay in Favignana (Resort Il Mulino or Hotel Insula)

Day 5 - Favignana

Departure from the hotel for a daily bike stage, to discover the unmissable routes offered by the island.

Day 6 - Marsala

Departure from Favignana and sailing for return in Trapani. One day long ride from Trapani to the town of Marsala, famous for the production of renowned wine and for its beautiful salt pans. Overnight stay in Marsala. (Seawater Hotel)

Day 7 - from Marsala to Segesta

Departure from Marsala for a ride along unforgettable routes rich in history, unspoiled nature and relaxation. You will see the magnificent Doric temple and the impressive greek Theatre, inside one of the major archaeological parks in Sicily. Overnight stay in Segesta (Segesta Suites)

Day 8 - Return to Palermo

Pick-up from the accommodation and transfer to Palermo airport.
